The company is mindful of the role they play in creating a better planet for all, and formulates with consciousness and executes with care, to address business challenges of tomorrow, in partnership and transparency.<\/p><p>As a Commercial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Advanced Materials Team to achieve financial targets and drive business growth. You will develop and implement commercial strategies, manage customer relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the<\/p><p>company&#8217;s sales efforts.<\/p><p>You will report to the Business Unit Manager and work closely with Account<\/p><p>Managers, Product Managers, the Customer Support Team, and Technical Managers.<\/p><p>Advanced Material Network.<\/p><p>You will be predominantly working from the Sutton office with regular travel to customers, suppliers and to attend team and Industry events, as required. This role offers the chance to enhance your commercial and leadership skills within a dynamic multinational company environment, collaborating closely with the commercial, marketing, technical and product development teams to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.<\/p><p><strong>Your responsibilities;<\/strong><\/p><p>\uf0b7 Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve financial targets and expand our market presence including business development<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Lead, coach, and motivate the commercial team to drive productivity and performance<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Monitor and analyse the performance of business initiatives to ensure alignment with the<\/p><p>company\u2019s strategic objectives, making recommendations and implementing initiatives to<\/p><p>ensure these are achieved<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Conduct regular reviews with the commercial team to ensure opportunities are followed up and<\/p><p>supported in converting to sales<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and other key<\/p><p>stakeholders<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Identify new business opportunities and markets for growth<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Drive project and new business pipeline development<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with overall business<\/p><p>objectives<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Work with the central Marketing function on digital marketing campaigns and the<\/p><p>maintenance and development of the company\u2019s website and B2B portal.<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and customer needs<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Monitor and analyse sales data and report on sales performance and market trends<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Assist implementing sales training programs for the team<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to senior management<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Ensure the team adheres to company policies and sales best practices<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Handle escalated customer issues and complaints as needed<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Stay up to date with industry developments and changes in regulations.<\/p><p><strong>Ideal Candidate;<\/strong><\/p><p>\uf0b7 Academically qualified, ideally with a degree in a technical discipline (chemistry preferred), a<\/p><p>business degree, or a proven track record gained within the chemical or allied industry sector<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Strong commercial background, ideally gained through experience while working in a<\/p><p>technically oriented industry (chemical industry preferred)<\/p><p>\uf0b7 A deep understanding of the Advanced Material markets, including industry trends, products<\/p><p>and consumer preferences would be highly desirable<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Prior experience of managing local or global sales teams, with a proven track record of<\/p><p>successfully developing effective strategies to drive significant growth, building cohesive<\/p><p>relationships, and producing strong business results<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Driven by the need to achieve sales growth and has an innovative, persistent, solutions focussed approach when faced with difficulties and challenges<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Self-motivated, disciplined, proactive and flexible<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Has strong commercial acumen \u2013 has a high regard for accuracy and is confident navigating and presenting commercial data with the commercial team<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to utilise data to inform actionable strategies to deliver key metrics<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Adaptable and flexible, ready to shift strategies and approaches in response to evolving markets and technologies<\/p><p>\uf0b7 A dynamic self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills that<\/p><p>enable effective interactions with commercial and technical contacts from a range of external<\/p><p>and internal stakeholders<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Working knowledge of MS Office and internet-based software applications (CRM Sales Force etc.)<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Line management experience.<\/p><p>Other information<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Over 5,100 employees globally, with over 300 in the UK<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Office based (Sutton, Surrey), with regular national and occasional European travel<\/p><p>\uf0b7 Standard working hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
